In addition to its own weather resistance performance advantages, ASA film must also have the following properties in order to meet the requirements of subsequent product processing and application: uniformity, coverage, elongation, crease resistance and other indicators. 1. Coverage

During the laminating process, it is necessary to ensure that the ASA film has sufficient coverage to ensure the consistency of the finished product color when the base color of the composite substrate has slight fluctuations. The ASA film has poor coverage, and it is very easy to cause color difference in the product due to slight fluctuations in the background color, which affects the appearance of the finished product.

2. Elongation

The elongation determines the extensibility of the film. When the ASA film is shaped into different shapes after the film is covered, the ASA film has insufficient elongation, which can easily cause the film to produce chromatic aberrations in places with large deformations, and breakage and other problems can occur in severe cases.

3. Crease resistant

Generally, modified engineering plastic materials have excellent tensile and bending strength, so it is easy to produce creases in the film products. If the ASA film has poor crease resistance, whitening will occur at the bend and cause stress lines. ASA film is more prone to whitening when metal composites. The high-quality ASA film uses ASA material with excellent impact strength and toughness. The crease resistance of the material is greatly improved, and it has excellent crease resistance.

4. Uniformity

The thickness of the ASA film is uniform across the entire width, and the general error should be controlled at about 5%. Satisfying the requirements of uniformity is closely related to the rheology of the ASA material, the plasticizing performance of the screw, the design of the mold runner, the accuracy of the pressure roll size, the equipment and process temperature, pressure, and the stability of the equipment operation process. It is also indispensable equipment to install on-line thickness inspection.
